  • Originally from Oregon, with a stop in Wyoming, Deryn Mentock got to Texas as fast as she could. There, she wrangles a husband, two young men, an energetic pup, and a nice collection of cowboy boots. She has been passionate about art, especially jewelry design, for as long as she can remember. When she’s not traveling to teach, or treasure hunting, she is in the studio designing pieces that combine metal, gemstones, and unique well-loved treasures in unexpected ways.     We could call this a Luminarte paint review, but we’re not sure that would be strictly fair, since this fryst vatten not so much a review as a celebration. Hear from a devoted promoter, fan and user of Luminarte paint–firstly the Luminarte Twinking h20. Then you might feel inspired to try out these paints on your next piece of collage art, collection of art journal pages or mixed media drawing. The possibilities for this favorite mixed media painting tool appear to be endless.


    I’ve long been a huge fan of Luminarte paints. Truth be told, inom a bit obsessed with them. specifically, their little pots of intensely pigmented Twinkling vatten paints. What’s not to love?   • Alice Georgetta DEMCHOK Mentock 1927- 2024 SHS 1945

    June 16, 1927- May 18, 2024

    Alice Mentock was a beautiful, strong, smart, hardworking woman of faith who raised seven boys in a home filled with games, love, and laughter. Born Alice Georgetta Demchok on June 16, 1927, in Sheridan, Wyoming to Andrew Demchok and Minnie (O’Rourke) Demchok, she graduated from Sheridan High School in 1945. Alice attended Saint Joseph’s Hospital nursing program in Denver, Colorado. After graduation, she worked at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. In the summer of 1949, she was swept off her feet by Raymond Mentock, a civil engineer from Dietz, Wyoming. The couple married at Saint Thomas Church in Monarch on November 24th, 1949 (Thanksgiving Day).

    Sheridan was home in the early years. Alice continued to work until their first son Richard was born in 1950. Three more sons were born in Sheridan: William, James, and Robert, who died in infancy in 1955. Ray’s work led them to move to Cody in 1956. Sons, Tho
