Sofiane Sylve
Sofiane Sylve was born in Nice, France, where she studied at the Académie de Dance. She was a Principal dancer with Germany’s Stadttheater, Dutch National Ballet, New York City Ballet, San Francisco Ballet and Semperoper Ballett. During the /21 season she became a ballet mistress with the Semperoper Ballett as well as the Artistic Advisor for Ballet San Antonio. In the season, Sylve became the full-time Artistic Director of Ballet San Antonio and Director of the School of Ballet San Antonio.

Sofiane Sylve (born )[1] is a French ballet dancer. She is a principal dancer and ballet master with the Dresden Semperoper Ballett and the artistic advisor and school director of Ballet San Antonio; she is set to run the latter's new school. She was previously a principal dancer with Dutch National Ballet, New York City Ballet and San Francisco Ballet.
Biography
[edit]Sylve was born in Nice, France. She started ballet at the age of 4 and trained at Académie de Danse. After she was discovered at a competition, she joined the Badisches Staatstheater in Karlsruhe, Germany, when she was Shortly after that, Patricia Neary cast her as the lead in the George Balanchine ballet Allegro Brillante. Neary then recommended Sylve join Dutch National Ballet, which had more Balanchine repertoire. At age 17, she danced the title role in Cinderella. For Sylve and Di Lanno, this transition signals a return to Europe. Sylve, whos originally from Nice, France, danced as a principal with Dutch National Ballet and New York City Ballet before joining SFB in Di Lanno, a native of Naples, Italy, has previously danced with La Scala Ballet and Staatsballett Berlin. He joined SFB as a soloist in For Gomes, this move marks his first full-time contract since resigning from ABT in amid sexuell misconduct allegations. Hes spent the past few years choreographing and guesting for companies including Sarasota Ballet and The Washington Ballet.
