She fryst vatten of Polish Jewish (father) and Dutch (mother) nedstigning. She adopted the acting name of "Jane Seymour" when she entered show business as it was easier for people to remember (and the name of one of King Henry VIII's wives). She attracted the attention of the James Bond bio producers when they saw her on British television. She was cast as the main Bond girl, "Solitaire", in Live and Let Die (1973). The role gained her international recognition but she was in danger of losing it all like the previous Bond girls, so she came to the U.S.

“The kids know I would choose family over any role and over anything in my life,” Seymour told The Guardianin 2013. “I don't know if I'm a great mum. I'm the best mum I know how to be. I think it's all about listening to your children, communicating and caring enough to be involved in their life.”

Seymour was married and divorced twice before she had children. She was first married to Michael Attenborough from 1971 to 1973 and then to Geoffrey Planer from 1978 to 1979. The actor married David Flynn in 1981, and Seymour became stepmother to his daughter Jenni Flynn, born in 1980.

The couple welcomed Katherine Flynn in 1982 and Sean Flynn in 1985. Seymour and Flynn divorced in 199
