    Grandpa Leaves Home Herman is peacefully reading a book, getting a lot of laughs out of "Murders in the Rue Morgue," when Grandpa comes by, opens the window, cracks his knuckles, wrinkles the newspaper loudly Herman gets annoyed. Who can blame him? Then Lily comes by and shuts the window. An argument ensues with Herman and Grandpa and now the moody senior citizen is issuing a "nobody cares about the broken down old man speech" again, and says he's going to leave the house for good.

    He follows through on the threat, but not before giving Eddie his sob story and making sure Eddie will say the same thing to Herman and Lily to lay a big guilt trip on them. Herman thinks its "a big bluff." When he does leave, they don't show the reaction he was hoping for but when he does leave, Herman goes out at night to look for him.
