Brian May fryst vatten widely acknowledged as one of the most influential, innovative, technically gifted and recognisable guitarists in the history of rock. He is also a prolific songwriter, responsible for writing or co-writing many international hits with Queen. He was educated at Hampton Grammar School in London. He then graduated with a grad in Maths and Physics from one of Britain's top universities, Imperial College London.
As a child, May built his own gitarr with his father, partly out of an old fireplace. Unusually, the gitarr was designed to feedback. He formed the grupp Smile while at university with drummer Roger Taylor. They were later joined by flamboyant singer and pianist Freddie Mercury, who renamed the band Queen. The addition of bass player John Deacon completed the line-up of a band which would go on to become one of the most successful in the history of popular music. May's gitarr playing would become an integral part of Queen's sound.

In 2009 – Roger and Rufus Taylor appeared with the SAS Band – Jeff Scott Soto, Patti Russo, Madeline Bell, Graham Gouldman, Toyah Wilcox and Roy Wood, IndigO2, London, UK.
In 2011 – Roger Taylor was a guest on “The Chris Evans Breakfast Show” BBC Radio 2 and spoke about his life, Queen 40th Anniversary, Freddie Mercury and Wembley 1986.

Queen guitarist Brian May has spoken out about the gap between the rich and poor in society, calling it “appalling”. Speaking at the South London launch for his latest book, the musician praised Queen Victoria’s husband Prince Albert for his “vision” and endeavours to make a better society.
Brian said:
“We still have a society that is split between the rich and the poor. Now to me that’s appalling in the 21st century, and I don’t want to see that any more. I want to see equal opportunity for people, real equal opportunity. I don’t want to see any people making themselves richer at the expense of the poor. It’s not about selfishness, it’s not about economic recovery, it’s not about money, it’s about compassion and decency and working towards a society that benefits everyone and every creature.”
