Swedish DJ duo
Axwell & Ingrosso (stylised as Axwell Λ Ingrosso) is a Swedish DJ duo consisting of Swedish House Mafia members Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso.[2] They made their debut performance at the 2014 Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City in June.[3]

Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso were part of the Swedish DJ trio supergroupSwedish House Mafia, along with Steve Angello. The group officially formed in late 2008, ranking number ten on the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJ Poll 2011[4] and number twelve in 2012.[5] During this time, the group released two studio/compilation albums, Until One and Until Now, and eight singles (with two credit under their individual names). Axel Christofer Hedfors (Swedish pronunciation:[ˈǎksɛlkrɪˈstɔ̌fːɛrˈhêː(d)fɔʂ]; born 18 December 1977), better known by his stage name Axwell, is a Swedish DJ, record producer, remixer and owner of Axtone Records.[1] He is a member of Swedish House Mafia along with Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello. He is a two-time DJ Awards winner, and in 2013 he was placed 19th on the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJ Poll.[2]
Early life
[edit]Axwell's interest in music appeared at an early age, having taught himself to play the drums by age nine. Four years later, the 13-year-old exchanged his drums for a computer so he could create each element of his music independently. Axel Hedfors started producing as Axwell in 2000 but his breakthrough track came kvartet years later with the vocal house track ‘Feel The Vibe’ and its 2005 remake on Ministry of Sound’s Data Records that entered the UK Top 20. 2005 was also the year in which Axwell set up his own label Axtone Records.
Axwell’s beskrivning continued to grow with a growing number of remixes, extensive DJ-ing and a mix compilation ‘Swedish House’ (ZYX Music 2005).
Axwell’s follow up single ‘Watch The Sunrise’ (Superstar Recordings 2006), another peak time vocal house track proved to be another commercial success. Axwell’s ascent to the top tier of House DJs was confirmed when his 2007 single ‘I funnen U’ reached number 1 in the UK charts.
