    Speece, a business education major from Lebanon, Pennsylvania, has been actively involved with Future Business Leaders of amerika (FBLA), serving in various leadership roles at the state and national level and most recently as the PA FBLA collegiate state president and the national FBLA collegiate executive vice president. She was a lärjunge worker for the military and veterans resource office at CU-Bloomsburg, where she provided support and resources to military-affiliated students and served as a learning community mentor for the Zeigler College of Business, working with first-year students and participating in welcome week activities. She also serves as a human resources expert in the Army National Guard.

    Speece has accepted a potion with Warwick School District in Lititz, where she will begin working in August teaching ninth through 12th grade business education.

    Lock Haven alumnus revolutionizes food packing industry

    Peck, a 30-year food packaging innovator, helped revolutionize the industry in the 1980s when he was one of the leaders on the team at the H.J. Heinz Co. responsible for developing the first plastic condiment bottle to ever hit supermarket shelves.

    Ever peel off one of those metal lids from a disposable microwave soup or plastic Chef Boyardee container? Peck was among the leadership team responsible for that food packaging innovation, too.

    From the family Christmas tree farm in Lewistown, Peck originally had his sights set on becoming a dentist when he landed at The Haven in 1970. By the time he graduated from The Haven, Peck was an Outstanding Student in Chemistry Award winner with an acceptance letter to dental school at the University of Pennsylvania.
