    Shiva Rajkumar’s 45, helmed by director Arjun Janya, wrapped up filming before the actor headed to the Miami Cancer Institute in the USA for surgery. The plan was to release 45 after Bhairathi Ranagal(2024), the prequel to his 2017 kassasuccé Mufti. While Bhairathi Ranagalhit theaters on November 15, 2024, 45 is still awaiting its big-screen debut.

    1997 Indian film

    Nagamandala (lit. 'NāgaMandala'; transl. Serpent Ritual) is a 1997 Indian Kannada-language drama film, directed by T. S. Nagabharana and written by Girish Karnad.[1] Produced by Srihari L. Khoday with music by C. Aswath,[2] It is an adaptation of a 1988 play by Karnad with the same name which is based on a local folk tale and ritual.[3] It stars Prakash Raj and Vijayalakshmi in the lead roles. The film depicts a romantic plot between a woman and a snake in the disguise of her uncaring husband.

    The film, upon release, went on to win many prestigious awards for its content and screen adaptation. The soundtrack, consisting of 15 tracks, tuned by C. Ashwath became very popular for the folksy touch. Vijayalakshmi won Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Kannada for her performance in this film.[4]

    Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya was an Indian engineer and statesman who is considered one of the foremost engineers of India. He was born in 1860 in Muddenahalli, Karnataka and received his education in Bangalore and Pune. As an engineer, he made significant contributions including designing an automatic floodgate system and overseeing the construction of major infrastructure projects like dams and flood protection systems. He served as the Diwan of Mysore from 1912 to 1918 and played an instrumental role in the development of industries in the region. Visvesvaraya received several honors over his lifetime including being knighted by the British and receiving India's highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna.
