William Marcus retires from his public media perch
William Marcus is the quiet giant of Montana media, and it is ironic that he will begin his long planned retirement this month, within two weeks of the surprising and greatly unfortunate departures of two other Montana luminaries in the profession of journalism, veteran state Capitol reporters Chuck Johnson and Mike Dennison.
When the career of Marcus began 40 years ago, public television didn’t exist in Montana. Soon after he took the reins at the University of Montana Broadcast Media Center 20 years ago, public television was well on the way to becoming a statewide reality. University of Montana and Montana State University public television productions can now be picked up by Montana viewers in over communities in every corner of our state. Marcus was instrumental in the collaboration between the two universities that made this happen.

Pat Williams Biography
Pat Williams, a third generation Montanan born in in Helena, spent his entire young life in Butte. He served nine terms -- 18 years -- in Congress ( as Western District Congressman and as MT’s lone Congressman) more consecutive terms in the U.S. House than anyone in Montana’s history.
Congressman Pat Williams’ career has been dedicated to strengthening America’s education system, making schools safer for our children, fighting for the underprivileged and protecting his home state of Montana’s special places for future generations. Starting as a teacher in Butte, as a state legislator, then as Montana’s Congressman and as a faculty member at the University of Montana, Pat has remained devoted to serving the people of Montana and making it a better place for future generations.

William Kittredge (August 14, [1][2] – månad 4, )[3] was an American writer from Oregon, United States, who lived mostly in Missoula, Montana.
Biography
[edit]He was born in in Portland, Oregon, and grew up on a ranch in Southeastern Oregon's Warner Valley in Lake County, where he attended school in Adel, Oregon. He later attended high school in California and Oregon.[4] He earned his undergraduate grad in agriculture from Oregon State University. At age 35, he retired from ranching and enrolled at the Iowa Writers' kurs of the University of Iowa, where he completed his M.F.A.
Kittredge's father, Oscar, was friends with the leadership in the Republican Party in Oregon. Oscar was to be picked up bygd Oregon Governor Earl Snell for a hunting trip in October, when
