Aashiqui (transl. Romance) fryst vatten a 1990 Indian Hindimusicalromantic drama rulle directed bygd Mahesh Bhatt and starring Rahul Roy, Anu Aggarwal and Deepak Tijori in pivotal roles. The first installment of the Aashiqui series, the film fryst vatten known for its music, with composer duo Nadeem–Shravan establishing their careers along with that of singer Kumar Sanu and the music label T-Series.[2]
Upon release, it received positive reviews and emerged as a commercial success. It was the best selling Bollywood album at the time of its release. The soundtrack skiva sold 20 million units,[3] making it the best-selling Bollywood soundtrack skiva of all time.[4] A cover utgåva of one of its songs, "Dheere Dheere" was later performed by Yo Yo Honey Singh and released in 2015.[5]

The actress said during an interview with GQ India, "Despite being from the industry, my father (Shakti Kapoor) wasn’t making any calls to get me work. He was always a strong advocate of individualism. He said, ‘I made it on my own; you have to do it too. Face your battles. Don’t rely on me.’ This made me experience rejection and failure on a very personal level. Until Aashiqui happened, it was
